Sh. Rajiv Gauba

Cabinet Secretary of India

Sh. Rajiv Gauba took over as the new Cabinet Secretary in the Government of India on 30th August 2019 after the superannuation of Shri P.K. Sinha. He is an IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre (1982 batch) and has held important assignments like Union Home Secretary, Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India and Chief Secretary, Jharkhand. He has also represented India at the International monetary Fund.

He had graduated in physics from Patna University. He had served in Jharkhand as the chief secretary for 15 months before returning to serve in the central government in 2016.

Prof. Krishnaswamy VijayRaghavan

Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India

Professor K. VijayRaghavan is the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India and previously served as the Secretary of Department of Biotechnology (DBT). He has also held additional charge of Secretary, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Secretary, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) and Secretary, Department of Health Research (DHR) at different periods during his tenure. He has a very distinguished record of being elected to numerous international bodies, notably as Fellow of Royal Society and US National Academy of Sciences. He is also a recipient of the Padma Shri, Infosys Prize and several other accolades.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Professor VijayRaghvan continued his post-doctoral work in the California Institute of Technology.

Dr. Arabinda Mitra

Scientific Secretary, Office of Principal Scientific Adviser

Dr. Mitra was appointed as the Scientific Secretary in the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India in June 2018. Previously, Dr. Mitra has served as Adviser & Head of International Bilateral Cooperation Division of the Department of Science & Technology, Executive Director of the bi-national Indo-US Science & Technology Forum, Program Manager at the National Center for Antarctic & Ocean Research at Goa, and Senior Scientific Officer in the Indian Antarctic Program. He received his PhD on a Cambridge Nehru Fellowship in Earth Sciences at University of Cambridge, UK. He has a Masters degree in Geology from Patna University.

He is a Fellow of the Geological Society, London; Cambridge-Nehru Scholar and JSPS Scholar.

Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra

Secretary, DPIIT

Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer of 1986 batch, was appointed as Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) in New Delhi.

Prior to taking over as Secretary, DPIIT, he served as Chairman of Airports Authority of India (AAI). Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra brought about many changes in AAI’s strategic operations. He gave new direction to AAI and steered it to achieve greater excellence in the sector of airport infrastructure development not only at the metro airports but also in tier II and tier III cities.

He had earlier served as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce, Government of India where he worked for the promotion of Special Economic Zones (SEZs), Public Procurement and Project Exports (Financing & Insurance).

Sh. Deepak Bagla

Managing Director & CEO, Invest India

Sh. Deepak Bagla has a professional career of over three decades, starting with the World Bank in Washington DC. In 1989 he joined Citibank Global Corporate and Investment Banking team and held several responsibilities across Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Currently, he is the Managing Director and CEO of Invest India.
